Ans. Letters are of many types. The main types are: Postcard, Inland Letter, Envelope.

Ans. All the letters have stamps on them.

4.Are all the stamps similar? What are the differences?
Ans. Different stamps have different price which is written on them. There are different types of pictures on different stamps.

5.Have you seen the stamp of the post office on these letters?
Ans.Yes, I have seen the stamp of the post office on these letters.

6.Write your full address on the postcard given below.

7. Reena’s letter reached Delhi by train. How do you think letters reached distant places when there were no trains?
Ans. When there were no trains pigeons were used to carry letters to their destinations. People were also used to carry letters to their destinations by hand. Horsemen were also used to carry letters.

Ans. Telephone booth, school, home, hospital, offices.

9.With whom do you talk on the telephone?
Ans. I talk to my friends and relatives on phone.

  • We can hear the voice of other person on phone but not in case of letter.
  • Letters take some time to reach the destination. On phone, our message instantly reach to the other person.
  • Phone is costlier than letters.
