Physical Efficiency(Endurance) Test(PET) ( For all posts)

Only those candidates, who have scored above the cut-off marks fixed by the Commission in Paper 1 would be required to appear in the Physical Endurance Test/Medical examination.

  • 100 meters race in 16 seconds
  • 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
  • Long Jump: 3.65 meters in 3 chances
  • High Jump: 1.2 meters in 3 chances
  • Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 meters in 3 chances

For female candidates only

  • 100 meters race in 18 seconds
  • 800 meters race in 4 minutes
  • Long Jump: 2.7 meters (9 feet) in 3 chances.
  • High Jump: 0.9 meters (3 feet) in 3 chances.

Note: Only those candidates declared qualified in PET/ PST will be called for Paper 1I and the Medical Examination would be conducted subsequently.

SSC CPO Syllabus Paper 2

SSC CPO Syllabus : Paper 2

Questions in these components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of the English Language and will be based on:

  • Error recognition,
  • Filling in the blanks (using verbs, prepositions articles, etc),
  • Vocabulary,
  • Spellings,
  • Grammar,
  • Sentence Structure,
  • Synonyms,
  • Antonyms,
  • Sentence Completion,
  • Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words,
  • Comprehension etc.

Medical Examination

  • All candidates who pass the PET will undergo a medical examination conducted by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon of Grade I from any Central/State Government Hospital or Dispensary.
  • Candidates who are deemed unfit for the position will be notified, and they will have 15 days to file an appeal with the Medical Board.
  • The decision of the Re-Medical Board/Review Medical Board is final, and no appeals or representations will be accepted against it.

Final Choice / Merit

The merit list will be compiled using the candidates’ Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test scores.


  • The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes i.e. without wearing of glasses.
  • The candidate must not have a knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in the, yes and they should possess high color vision.
