Hardik was in the role of an all-rounder, but considering the remaining matches and current form, Team India has considered Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin sufficient for all-rounders. Apart from him, Ishan Kishan plays the role of a left-handed batsman and wicketkeeper, so the team also does not need Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma.
