- TET: Must be conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala, or another agency authorised by the Government. The qualification table does not list TET or B.Ed. for Computer, Physical Education and Fine Arts.
- Teaching proficiency: Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English is required for all posts except English, Mathematics and Fine Arts.
- English and Mathematics relaxation: SC, ST and OBC candidates need at least 45% in Graduation, 45% in B.Ed. and 50% in the subject at Graduation level.
- Other posts relaxation: Up to 5% is allowed in minimum qualification for SC, ST, OBC and PWD candidates of Himachal Pradesh. This line is not given for English and Mathematics.
- School condition: A candidate must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school in Himachal Pradesh. This does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
Eligibility is checked as on the closing date, 5 December 2026. OBC (NCL), BPL, EWS and Ward of Freedom Fighter certificates must be valid on the closing date and on the date of document verification.

A category-wise waiting panel is valid for one year from the date of recommendation. For a post with more than 50 advertised vacancies, the panel is 10%, with a minimum of eight candidates.

The relaxation applies only if fewer candidates qualify than the number of advertised posts. The advertisement does not give a section-wise marks split or mention negative marking. Scores from multiple CBT shifts are normalized by the Z-Score method. The provisional answer key allows 7 days for objections, and rechecking is not allowed. Salary and Terms of Engagement
Teachers get a fixed honorarium of Rs. 30,000 per month, payable for 10 months in an academic year. The engagement is purely scheme based and temporary for 5 years, and is not against any sanctioned post.
- There is no right of regularization, and these teachers are not treated as Government employees.
- Service rules and Government medical reimbursement rules do not apply.
- The engagement period does not count for any service benefit.
- Teachers can be posted in any CBSE affiliated Government school or other Government school, as required.
How to Apply for HPRCA Teacher Recruitment 2026
- Visit hprca.hp.gov.in and click “Sign Up” to create a username and password.
- Complete the One Time Registration with personal, education and work details, photograph, signature and documents.
- Complete or update the profile.
- Open the list of posts and click “Apply” against the chosen post.
- Select the preferred exam district.
- Review the details filled from the profile.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Application is complete after successful payment. Download a copy of the form.
Complete the process by 5 December 2026. Only one form is allowed for each post. The photograph (not older than one month) and signature must be JPG, JPEG or PNG, up to 1 MB each.
