Age and Eligibility
- Must live in The Nilgiris district
- Age not above 40 years at the time of applying
- UG degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Forestry, Wildlife, Public Policy or a similar field
- Basic typing in Tamil and English
Candidates with at least a year’s work experience may get first priority. The Tamil version of the notice also asks for basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Duties
- Coordinate between line departments on environmental protection and climate action
- Organise capacity-building programmes, and document climate initiatives
- Link the state’s Department of Environment and Climate Change with the district mission
- Hold mission meetings every two months, and send minutes to the government within 15 days
- Maintain government records
Selection Process
Selection takes three steps: a check of eligibility, a typing test, and then a written test and interview.

Leave and Notice Period
