Age is counted on 1 January 2026. It can be relaxed for ST, SC and OBC as per norms, but not for the AYUSH Medical Officer post.
Educational Qualification
AYUSH Doctor (Ayurvidya and Mobile Medical Unit): a BHMS degree in Homeopathy from a recognised university.
AYUSH Doctor (Filariasis): a BAMS degree in Ayurveda from a recognised university.
MPW: a graduate degree, along with a one-year computer diploma covering MS Office from a government-registered institution.
Data Entry Operator: graduation in Computer Application, IT, Business Administration, B.Tech (CS or IT), BCA, BBA or B.Sc IT, or any graduation with a one-year computer course. You also need at least one year of post-qualification experience. Typing at 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Bengali is desirable.
Note: the first post is named “Ayurvidya” in the notice, but it asks for a BHMS degree. If you plan to apply for it, please confirm with the district office.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- You must know the local languages.
- All essential criteria must be met by the first date of online application, which is 3 November 2026.
- Caste or EWS certificates must be from West Bengal authorities, and issued by that same date.
- Experience is counted from after the essential qualification, up to that date.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
Applications are shortlisted on qualification and experience, and a merit list is made. Where a computer test is needed, you must score at least 50 percent to stay in the process.

For AYUSH Doctors, one mark is given for each completed year of experience up to 5 years, and two marks for each year after that, up to 15 marks.
How to Apply
- Go to wbhealth.gov.in, and open the Online Recruitment link.
- Register, and note your application ID and registration number.
- Pay the fee online by 13 November.
- Use the link you receive after payment, and complete the form by 17 November.
- Upload your signature and photograph. A form without them can be cancelled.
- Download the print copy from hr.wbhealth.gov.in, and keep it for verification.
Do not send the form by post. Check birbhum.nic.in and the health website for further instructions.
Points to Check Before You Pay
The National AYUSH Mission is a central scheme that supports Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy services through the states. These Birbhum posts are contractual under that scheme, and the district office is at Suri.
Check these before you start the form:
- Certificate date: caste or EWS certificates must be issued on or before 3 November 2026.
- Experience: only work after the essential qualification counts, and only up to 3 November 2026.
- Marks: marks are rounded off to two decimal places.
- Data match: if form details differ from original testimonials, the application can be cancelled.
- Printout: without the registration form, you will not be allowed in for original document checks.
The authorities can cancel the recruitment at any stage, and their decision is final.
